We are releasing a new update for AuditDesktop - version 2.1.0.

Description of the changes in this version:

Important changes

Filling in parameters into documents
When viewing or saving documents which have been marked as completed or checked their parameters will not be filled in.
MS Office modules for parameters
Support for the old MS Office 2003 and 2007-2013 modules for parameters has been discontinued.

A new module for working with parameters has been developed, which applies to MS Office 2007 or newer. The new features are:

  • Universal module - one module supported for both Word and Excel
  • Renamed tab - the tab in the ribbon has been renamed from Templates to AuditDesktop
  • Visibility only when working with the program - The AuditDesktop tab is visible only when the document is opened through the program
  • New fields and data types - the possibility of inserting reports data in Word documents
The new module can be downloaded from: www.ada-soft.bg/downloads/AuditDesktop/OfficeAddins/setup.exe
Corrected texts
  • The abbreviations for Debit and Credit in the interface and in the formulas for indicators have been corrected: DT and CT have been replaced with Dr and Cr
  • Term corrected: Implementation materiality -> Performance materiality
Access permissions
A new level of document access has been added - inherited.

An element with an "inherited" access level has the same access level as it's parent element. When a specific element's access level is changed, that change is reflected in it's sub-elements which have the "inherited" access level.

Main changes

New level of access to the audits
A new level of access has been added - inherited. When a specific element has the "inherited" access level it mirrors the access level in it's parent. Respectively when a specific element's access level has been changed this is reflected in all sub-elements marked with "inherited".

When creating a new audit all users who are part of the audit team have "inherited" access to the documents. At the base level (method level) the team leader has "controller" access level, while the rest of the users in the team are set to "none".

Therefore the user's base access level would be copied in all documents.
Financial indicators
The option of describing the method's financial indicators has been added, with the ability to use the statement of financial position, the income statement and the trial balance as input data. It is accessed from Active audit -> Audit -> Parameters -> Financial indicators

The results can be integrated into Word documents.
Indicators for choosing materiality
The option of describing the materiality indicators has been added, with the ability to use the statement of financial position, the income statement and the trial balance as input data. It is accessed from Active audit -> Audit -> Parameters -> Materiality
Statements: Statement of financial position and Income statement
The option to set a hierarchy to the statements' items has been added. Also the option to set up automated summations by levels.

The program now has a new means of setting up automatic formation of the statements using the trial balance, by linking specific accounts (or groups of accounts) or a classification of the accounts to corresponding items. These settings are independent from those in the chart of accounts.

The data can be integrated into Word documents.

The items can be rearranged manually by the user.
Advanced settings for automatic activation of documents
All settings are done when editing a method.
Audit type
It is now possible to set a document to be activated depending on the type of the audit engagement - initial, subsequent, intermediate, follow-up, other.

The document is activated in accordance with the type of engagement selected when creating a new audit / editing an existing audit.
Risks
Activation of a document depending on the level of an identified risk in a specific item or assertions to an item in the statement of financial position or the income statement.

The document is activated by identified risks.
Materiality
Activation of a document depending on whether a specific item or assertions is material or not, as well as whether it must be activated due to Control testing or Substantive procedure

The document is activated from "Statement analysis".
Statement analysis
The program now has the ability to analyze the statement of financial position and the income statement and determine any material items/assertions and appropriate actions which are to be taken in response - control tests, substantive procedures.

Also new identified risks can be recorded in the same window.

Supports: Statement of financial position and income statement.

Accessible from Active audit -> Risks -> Statement analysis -> Statement of financial position/Income statement.

The ability to review the activated documents depending on a specific item's selected materiality has been added, as well as the ability to open and work on those documents directly from the list.

The analysis results can be integrated into Word documents.
Documents
Program
Now displays all of the program's objectives when selecting the main step.

Alternative view, accessible from Settings -> Items -> Program.
Checklist
Alternative view, accessible from Settings -> Items -> Checklist.

Now displays the score and conclusion depending on the answers to the questions.
Added and corrected nomenclatures
Processes
Types of processes which can be common for all or specific for each client.

The type is selected from the audit's parameters (when creating a new audit or editing an existing one). The processes can also be used in Findings and recommendations.
Clients
Employees
A list with employees, who are to be used as responsible parties in the Findings and recommendations, can be added to each client.
